40 Vinyl Records That Are Worth Way More Than You Expect

THE BEATLES – PLEASE PLEASE ME: VALUED AT $7,770 (£6,000)

Please Please Me was quickly released by Parlophone in the UK in 1963 after the massive hit single of the same name. Interestingly, the album didn’t see a US release until 1987, making the UK editions especially prized by collectors.

Early UK Parlophone pressings featuring the distinctive black and gold label are highly sought after. According to MoneyWeek, these original pressings can fetch prices around $7,770 (£6,000), reflecting their rarity and importance in Beatles history.

LED ZEPPELIN – LED ZEPPELIN: VALUED AT $9,235 (£7,130)

Released in 1969, Led Zeppelin’s debut album is a cornerstone of hard rock and a must-have for any serious collector. Early UK pressings, especially those with turquoise lettering and the ‘Superhype’ credit, command the highest prices.

In 2013, one of these sought-after editions sold for $9,235 (£7,130), as reported by MoneyWeek. Even rarer is a 1979 promo interview record, with only two known copies in existence. One recently came up for sale with a staggering price tag of $99,999 (£77,399), making it the most valuable Led Zeppelin collectible.
