THE ART OF BODY PAINTING – BODY PAINTINGS THAT EVEN MADE OUR JAWS DROP

YOU DON’T EVEN NOTICE I’M THERE

Emma Hack is an Adelaide-based artist renowned for blending body paint with background patterns. Her paintings are executed so masterfully that they integrate the person’s body into the background pattern, making them virtually blend into the wall. She developed her famous style in the early 2000s, drawing inspiration from the Florence Broadhurst wallpapers.

She became particularly well-known for her collaboration with Australian singer Gotye on his hit “Somebody That You Used To Know.” In this music video, the Grammy Award winners are painted to perfectly match a geometric wall with color blocks.

CATWOMAN

“Catwoman,” the burglar whose real name is Selina Kyle, appears as an occasional antagonist in the “Batman” comics. On the screen, she has been portrayed by various actresses, including Julie Newmar, Eartha Kitt, Lee Meriwether, Halle Berry, Anne Hathaway, and Zoë Kravitz.

One of her most iconic portrayals was that of Michelle Pfeiffer in the ’90s. This body painter is apparently particularly inspired by Pfeiffer’s role. Pfeiffer embodied the character in the 1992 film “Batman Returns,” directed by Tim Burton. Pfeiffer’s Catwoman wielded a whip in that film. Michael Keaton took on the role of Batman/Bruce Wayne at that time.
