THE ART OF BODY PAINTING – BODY PAINTINGS THAT EVEN MADE OUR JAWS DROP

DARK MAGICIAN GIRL

This portrayal of the Dark Magician Girl was created by Kay Pike. In this rendition, she embodies the iconic character from the anime “Yu-Gi-Oh!”, who possesses magical abilities and can communicate telepathically with others.

She also has a card in the trading card game inspired by the anime. Her card falls under the “Monster” category, with the attribute being “dark.” It’s a Level 6 card boasting attack and defense stats of 2000/1700. In the Japanese version, however, the Dark Magician Girl is known as Black Magician Girl. She made her debut in episode 147 of the original anime, “Legend of the Dragons.” Suddenly feeling a renewed urge to binge-watch anime, anyone?

WINTER WONDERLAND

Emma Van-De-Peer, also known as Movie_mayhem_makeup, uses body paint and special effects cosmetics to transform herself into various characters. Hailing from Cardiff, she’s a mother of two sons. Her interest in special effects cosmetics sparked while working for a theatre group, where she taught children how to recreate their favorite looks from film and television.

She has a penchant for creating illusions with her skills, as she enjoys baffling people with what they see. In this piece, she leans into cool tones, using blues and whites to depict a cozy little cabin in a snowy forest.
