Adnan Al Kaissie would both be a hated heel and popular face for WWE in the 1970s. In 1971, Al Kaissie would defeat Andre the Giant at a match in Baghdad, while Al Kaissie high school classmate, Saddam Hussein watched. Al Kaissie would transition from heel to beloved Native American babyface, Billy White Wolf.

As Billy White Wolf, Kaissie would team with Chief Jay Strongbow to win the WWWF (WWE) World Tag Team Titles in 1976. Golden Era WWE fans may remember Al Kaissie joining Sgt. Slaughter as General Adnan during Slaughter's feud with Hulk Hogan and Ultimate Warrior in the early 1990s.

Haystacks Calhoun

Haystacks Calhoun was a professional wrestling attraction. Standing 6'4 and billed at weighing 601 pounds, Calhoun was a popular wrestler in the 1970s. Calhoun would play up the hillbilly country gimmick that WWE would also love with Hillbilly Jim and the Godwinns.

Calhoun would win the WWWF (WWE) World Tag Team titles with Tony Garea in 1973. Calhoun and Garea defeated Mr. Fuji and Toru Tanaka to win the titles. Haystacks Calhoun would be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2017 as part of the Legacy Wing.
