‘RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK’ — THE FLY ON THE FACE
Indiana Jones has had plenty of legendary moments, but one of the most paused scenes in Raiders of the Lost Ark isn’t about action—it’s about a fly. During the tense standoff where Indy threatens Belloq and the Nazis with a bazooka, something odd happens in the background of the performance.
As Belloq tries to talk Indy down, a real fly lands on actor Paul Freeman’s face and appears to crawl into his mouth. Amazingly, Freeman doesn’t flinch or break character. Viewers have paused the scene countless times just to confirm if what they saw really happened. Spoiler: it did.

‘MAN OF STEEL’ — THE SPACE BATTLE EASTER EGG
Released in 2013, Man of Steel rebooted Superman’s story with intense action and gritty visuals. As Superman (played by Henry Cavill) faces off against General Zod (Michael Shannon), the battle becomes so massive it spills from the streets of Metropolis into outer space. It’s during this high-flying final showdown that eagle-eyed fans spotted a subtle but thrilling detail.
While the two Kryptonians smash into a satellite orbiting Earth, viewers who pause at just the right moment will notice a logo on the satellite that reads “Wayne.” Yes, that Wayne—as in Bruce Wayne, also known as Batman. At the time, audiences didn’t know the DCEU was being built, so this tiny Easter egg felt like a quiet but exciting promise of things to come for DC fans.
