The Russian artist Ellen Sheidlin has gained millions of Instagram followers with her captivatingly surreal photos. She uses body paints, props, and the power of Photoshop to create images that resonate with her huge fan base.

In the picture, she reverses the perspective, placing her face upside down by painting a nose and lips on her forehead. The two women with inverted faces seem to be making eye contact, as if they want to communicate with each other. This could have a deeper meaning, perhaps even inspired by the upside-down smiley emoji, which often stands for humor or sarcasm.
